Local Economic Development
The local economic development (LED) component aims to create job opportunities, employment and stimulate economic activity in the Greater Kampala area

Through the establishment of artisan parks, markets, and business incubation centers, the program will provide workspaces for small businesses and entrepreneurs to thrive. These initiatives will prioritize youth, women, and marginalized groups, ensuring that economic growth benefits the entire population. Additionally, the program will work to strengthen local economic clusters, such as small manufacturing units, by providing infrastructure and support services that enhance their competitiveness. By fostering entrepreneurship and local industries, the program aims to reduce unemployment and drive economic growth in the region. Ultimately, the LED strategies shall enhance the own source revenue opportunities for GKMA.
